Recently, I found a wonderful article about Alys Fowler and Yotam Ottolenghi in which two of my very favorite persons (concerning gardening and cooking) put their knowledge together and created something new. In this case, not surprisingly, it is gardening and cooking. The title was „She grows it, he cooks it“. As I read it, I remembered just our sage plants starting to blossom and was excited to find a recipe with it.
So, we made it. Chickpea stew with wet garlic, sage flowers and broad bean tops (the latter we substituted with kale and mangold greens). I really loved it, especially the parsley sauce coming with it. The kids, well, they really enjoyed helping with the cooking. Too much herbs for them, I guess.
